Who can be involved in PREDICTOM?

Older adults aged 50 years and above who are at risk of memory decline and dementia based on other risks including memory decline, lifestyle and medical factors.

Who can participate?

Older adults aged 50 years and above with the following symptoms and/or characteristics are at increased risk of memory decline and dementia:

  • mild memory problems

  • sleep disturbances

  • a family history of Alzheimer’s disease or dementia

Additional lifestyle and medical factors may also contribute to this risk.

To participate in the study, you should be able to

  • communicate in your native language

  • have access to a computer or touchscreen device with an internet connection

  • be willing and able to provide informed consent for your participation in the study

What does the study involve?

The study will include digital assessments such as online memory and hearing tests. Other assessments will include giving saliva, stool and finger prick samples. Some people may also undergo brain scans, lumbar puncture and assessment of brain activity.

Guidance will be provided with all assessments and kits to allow participants to complete the assessments smoothly.
